Team VG beat the rest!

Can indoor golf develop your game? Our staff prove the doubters wrong, as Georgia bring the President’s Cup home!

Georgia Bowman started working at Virtually Golf back in October 2022. Alongside ticking all the right boxes in the hospitality stakes, we were excited to have another keen golfer join the VG team.
With much of our shift work taking place in the evenings – an occupational hazard – there wasn’t a lot of time during working hours for Georgia to play and practise on the simulators. Here at Virtually Golf, that’s not a problem as staff are able to use their free time to come into the venue and practice FOC.
We saw Georgia taking advantage of this particular perk as much as she could, to practice her ball strike and find comfort in her club distances. As they say, practice makes perfect and not only has her time on the simulators honed her skills, but it has supported her to go on to win the President’s Cup!

As her game approached, the President’s Day Cup at her local club Charnwood Forest Golf Club in Leicestershire, Georgia felt comfortable with her game. Home to a challenging course built within the natural environment, succeeding at Charnwood requires consistency, skill and thought while playing.
Georgia teed off with a handicap of 31, playing a great game which saw her come in with 40 points, enough the take top spot against 101 other challengers on the day.
I wasn’t feeling very hopeful about the competition having not played competitively for a while, so I practiced on the sims in the weeks before to gain that confidence needed!
