Our first MAJOR of the season is here...!? This Annual Open Competition of the Winter is upon us, pick your partner, defrost your clubs and get ready to swing in this Foursomes event. Will you win the Grand Slam?

Foursomes

Dēmḗtrios Doubles is a Foursomes event played on GS Pro (Current Members Software). Each round a different course will be played and every team will be notified of the new course allowing teams to practice before their match (FREE for MEMBERS). Entry Fees are FOC for Full Members or £10 per player per round.

Over to you!

Once the fixtures are drawn, VG get both teams in contact with each other, then the rest is easy. Organise a date & time amongst yourselves, suitable for each team within the allocated dates/round. Then simply let us know, come down and battle it out.

Our Director

Dēmḗtrios Doubles is created in honour of our Business Development Director. The origin of their Ukranian surname (Dymytryk) translates to Dēmḗtrios in Ancient Greek. Our Golf Manager - Ben Green, wanted to create four annual, everlasting tournaments (Majors...?) at VG in honour of the four Founding Directors.

This event will only have space for 16 teams, so book and secure your spot before they all go.

We’ve added an extra round from our Business Ryder Cup meaning 4 rounds need to be played and won in order to claim the title of our first Winter Open.

Make sure to follow us on Social Media (Instagram) to keep an eye out for your next opponent,  the new course for the round and scores.

THE WINNERS

Have the honour of winning the first ever Dēmḗtrios Doubles event and be the first to have your name engraved on the trophy that’ll be displayed in our very own Trophy Cabinet.

The four tournaments that have been created in honour of our Founding Directors will simulate our very own Majors and you’ll need to win this one first to have a chance if winning the VG Grand Slam!

All entry fees go to 'Pickups for Peace' in Ukraine

Virtually Golf has key links to Ukraine, not only is our Business Development Director Ukrainian but a close family friend of the Virtually Golf Director helped fund Virtually Golf in the early days.  Now this connection / friend has set up fundraising page.  The Just Giving page shows how they deliver vehicles and other aid directly to the units at the front of Ukraine during this unpredictable and dangerous time.  We would like to show our support and thanks by donating what we can from the proceeds of the Dēmḗtrios Doubles Tournament.
